Empieza con tu aplicación
El primer paso en la aplicación para el programa de selección de Hughes Space School: Space Week es el siguiente formulario. De esta manera podemos contactarnos contigo, resolver todas tus preguntas y enviarte consejos acerca de como mejorar tu aplicación. Prepara lo importante
Para que podamos revisar tu aplicación necesitaremos lo siguiente:
Curriculum Vitae
Tendremos que examinar tu desempeño durante todo el año escolar para que podamos tomar nuestra decisión final. Es obligatorio incluir lo siguiente en su currículum: logros académicos, habilidades personales, idiomas hablados, referencias y su promedio de calificaciones. (Máximo una plana)
Ensayos de Aplicación
Para poder considerar su solicitud, es obligatorio que cada estudiante escriba DOS ensayos como mínimo.
Short Essay Prompts
Choose one of the following prompts and write a maximum of 85 words and a minimum of 35 words for the one you choose. Feel free to select the one you feel most excited about.
Prompts: (Only choose 1)
- If you could time travel, where would you go and why?
- Do you have a favorite story? Which and how did it impact you?
- Write a Thank-you note to someone you feel you still have not thanked.
- What are you passionate about and why?
- You can tell us about different aspects of yourself. What makes you be you.
- What are you excited to learn? Why?
- What did you do on your last summer vacation?
- Tell us about a new skill you would like to learn.
Long Essay Prompts
Choose one of the following prompts and write a maximum of 300 words and a minimum of 100 words for the one you choose. Feel free to select the one you feel most excited about.
Prompts: (Only choose 1)
- Tell us about an intellectual experience you've had. (A class, a project, book discussion, poetry, research) How did it impact you?
- What is something that you consider meaningful for yourself. Why is this so important to you?
- What challenges humanity, and what challenges yourself?
- Tell us about a significant extracurricular you have. Why do you enjoy it so much? How does it make you feel?
- Tell us about a time you found yourself in a difficult situation. What did you do to solve it.
- Why is it important for you to attend to the space week?
Videos Adicionales
Todo estudiante tiene la oportunidad de realizar hasta DOS videos. Esto es completamente opcional, sin embargo, si incrementa las posibilidades de admisión al programa.
Personal Video (Optional)
Here you'll be able to make a 1-minute video introducing yourself. Show us who you are, a day in your life, the things you like to do, or talk about something you are passionate about, anything will do. This is a chance to be creative and show yourself.
Scientific Video (Optional)
Here you'll be able to make a video about any scientific topic of your choosing, remember it has to have a duration maximum of 1-minute. Though optional, the video can increase your chances of being admitted.
